|Did you know OUSD spends the most of any Alameda County district on administration and private contractors? OUSD claims it is committed to educational equity but has refused to pay for equitable teaching and learning conditions. The latest form of this is called the “The Blueprint for Quality Schools,” which threatens a new round of program cuts and school closures. OEA (the teachers’ union) is currently bargaining for the conditions necessary for quality education: smaller class size and caseloads, more prep time, and fair compensation to keep diverse, experienced teachers.|
Classroom Struggle is a group of OUSD educators, parents, and community allies fighting for the best possible education for our students and a society based on racial and social justice. Find us on Facebook.
